If anyone here has ever attempted to play the original Kingdom Hearts II (and from what I can gather, the Final Mix version as well.) on the PS3, you've probably encountered a very serious game-breaking bug in the Space Paranoids world. When fighting the 'Hostile Program' boss, you are able to fight normally until you get on the second to the last health bar, not even a quarter of the way down, then notice that no matter what you try, you will not be able to get its' health to go any lower. I encountered this glitch years ago on an original PS3, and was hoping this wouldn't be an issue with using HAN. I'd completely forgotten about this glitch until I noticed it happening again on this playthrough.

I'm just curious as to if anyone is aware of a fix or bypass for this? I am aware of the save converter, where you convert your save to a PS2 emulator format for the PC, get beyond the affected boss, save, then reconvert & transfer back to the system. Sadly this isn't really an option for me at the moment, as my gaming laptop won't stay on long enough to do this. (Extreme overheating issue, lasting only around 10 minutes before a Blue Screen of Death, and this is without running anything other than Windows 10, no open programs.) It's no big deal if there isn't another way around this, I just can't use a PC emulator at the moment, and a PS2 is also not an option. I've seen a couple posts from people using CFW (Pre-HAN time periods.), and claiming to have gotten past this part of the game, but didn't really leave any concrete proof or steps on how to get past it.

If anyone has any alternate suggestions or has managed to get beyond this glitch, I'd really like to hear from you. Thanks in advance.

Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix Save File Pcsx2 Games

If you have a PC powerful enough to run PCSX2, you can follow this. I've found various tutorials on how to convert/transfer the saves, here is a more detailed on that subject. Once you get it transferred to play on the emulator you simply load your save, beat the Hostile Program boss, save immediately, then conver/transfer the save back to the PS3. (Luckily I have a memory card adapter that I randomly bought back when I got my original PS3, never actually used it though lol) I've read that this is a glitch that is caused by the PS3's PS2 emulator, so maybe there could possibly be a certain CONFIG file that could be used to get past this part.
