Ok, I just saw the same problems on a friends computer. Took his GPSmap64 to my computer and everything works fine. Since he was unable to fullfill the first steps it might be a difference within the tools used.

I'm using imgTool 1.9.4 and gimgunlock.exe with a file date. I was unable to see what file version it is. It could also be a problem with the virus protection or the operating system. Try to disable the virus protection before changing the img-file.
